Dallas, Texas – based mostly RISC announced that Shawn O. Fabors was named president of the company upon the retirement of William D. Staub, Jr. The transition was effective Apr. one, 2014.
Staub joined RISC as president in January 2003 right after serving as president and COO with a national wholesaler. Fabors joined RISC as chief income officer in 2008, with primary responsibilities of producer development and prime line production.
In addition to these core responsibilities, Fabors’ tenure with RISC also integrated the underwriting and management of the small business unit and the contractor select casualty applications. Fabors currently serves as secretary/treasurer on the board of the Texas Surplus Lines Association.
Prior to joining RISC, Fabors served as the territory revenue director of a top national residence and casualty insurance coverage business.
