Jerry Hourihan has been named president of American Worldwide Group’s (AIG) Personal Consumer Group for the U.S. and Canada. He will report to Ralph Mucerino, CEO of Buyer Regional, Americas.
Hourihan will be a large net well worth consumer advocate and be accountable for improvement, implementation and execution of strategies in the Personal Consumer Group company in the U.S. and Canada. He will also direct the division’s distribution organization which includes client management, segmentation and distribution expansion.
Most recently, Hourihan served as executive vice president and chief marketing and advertising officer for AIG Personalized Lines in the U.S. and Canada. He joined AIG Private Client Group in 2002 as a zone manager for the division’s Eastern zone. He also managed strategic income for AIG’s Office of the Consumer, and previously served as the division’s nationwide revenue and marketing manager.
Prior to joining AIG, Hourihan spent 16 years with Chubb in a number of management positions.
