A potash mining company won its lawsuit towards an oil and fuel organization more than a mistake in a New Mexico drilling undertaking but a jury awarded just a single cent of damages.
The award for Plymouth, Mass.-primarily based Mosaic Co. in its suit against Oklahoma City-primarily based Devon Power Corp. was made final week in state District Court in Carlsbad.
The Carlsbad Existing-Argus reported that attorneys for the organizations declined to comment on the jury’s determination as they left the courthouse.
Mosaic’s 2010 lawsuit alleged that Devon drilled in an spot the place a federal assessment identified that drilling would interfere with Mosaic’s potash mining. Mosaic claimed that Devon’s misplaced drilling had brought on substantial damages,
